About

I’m a 21 year-old audio producer/musician/web designer living in NYC, and this here is my blog. I don’t write on it too often nowadays, but when I do, I write a lot.

I’ve been producing music for about four years now, mostly for local bands. I’m self taught, and learning more and more every day, as well as buying tons of gear. For more information about that, check my “studio website”:http://dropbrecordings.com.

On the web design side of the spectrum, I’ve been designing websites for about 6 years now. For more information on that, check my “portfolio website”:http://danielzabolotny.com. I’m currently not accepting any more freelance design work, as I am happily employed at “Miko Graphics”:http://mikographics.com.

Sometimes I also pretend that I’m a photographer and post pictures taken with my venerable Nikon D70s.

I prefer Macs over Windows PC’s, based on years of using both. I like Apple’s design (most of it, anyway) and OS X. Google Chrome is my preferred browser, but I occasionally use Safari or Firefox.

I also play guitar, usually in some rather low tuning. My main guitars are an ESP LTD H-1001 Deluxe, and an ESP MH-350 NT. I’ve been playing for about six years now, and I currently play guitar and do backing vocals in a metal band.

For a while, web design used to be my main focus, but I’ve really started to focus more on audio production and music in recent years.

That’s pretty much all I have to say about myself. If you have any other questions or just want to talk to something other than a wall, contact me.

This blog is run on WordPress, with a custom theme designed by me. Many hours and nights went into making this design, so please don’t try to steal my design; it isn’t even that amazing.
