Z-Up: New And Improved!

It’s taken me nearly _forever_ to finally get Z-Up redesigned, so long that I actually forgot what the old design looked like. It was fully functional the whole time, just not entirely pretty. The new design stays fairly true to the rather well-received old design, while introducing some more modern features like CSS3 and a cleaner design. Pictures and geeky bits after the jump.

I personally think it’s a vast improvement on the earlier design. I’ve simplified some bits here and there, but it functions just the same, if not better. Here’s a screenshot of the previous design, and here’s the link to “the post”:http://dzine-studios.com/2009/09/23/reintroducing-z-up/ I wrote about it.

And the even older one, from mid-2008. It’s pretty horrible.

So what are you waiting for? Go on and “check it out”:http://z-up.net!

Looks good man, I’d like it to take up a bit more horizontal space though.. Just to make it stand out a bit more from the background.. because about 95 percent of the screen is the background image..

    Otherwise, great job!

I realized that while making the last version too, but there’s not much I can do about it. It’s a pretty minimal site, and making it wider would look odd.

I don’t think it would look odd.. you could just make the text slightly larger or more spaced out.. (or both) and make the width 2x or 1.5x the size of what it is now..
