Did I make a mistake in the title? No, because that’s exactly what my newest WordPress theme is called. Yes, ladies and gentlemen… I’ve finally gotten to actually making a WordPress theme. Read on to see a preview of it and read more about it.

It’s extremely simple, as the name implies. No images at all. It’s all typography and CSS, meaning very short load times. I’m still debating on whether to allow color customization. If I do allow it, it will probably be restricted to only allow the changing of link colors. I’m probably going to release it on Wednesday, so follow me on Twitter for updates.

    Simple is right :O I’m all for plain, quick loading layouts but in my opinion that’s just too much so. Even a background image or something would spice it up a bit, else I see most people passing it over because it’s too boring.

    Personally I’d like at least a pale background texture, but other than that it’s great. When you said big text, you mean it.

    I might add the option to add a custom background image…
    @Danny: I don’t get how people would find it boring. I could stare at its plain goodness for hours and not get bored. Then again, maybe it’s because I’m a boring person?

    I love how the layout works, but if I were to use that I would have to edit some colors and maybe use a different background image :P

    Dan, Sean said the colors on my gallery were uck, and Ralph can’t see that his theme’s header came out of a sick goat’s ass, so maybe the creators can’t see it?

    Custom bg option and maybe bit off link color changing in theme options would be cool.

    Alright, I’ll add a custom background option and the ability to change the link colors. Hopefully people won’t abuse it.

    That’s exactly why I’m a little reluctant to allow any customization, because I know people will abuse it. I just wish there was a script that could detect and disallow eye-rape colors.

    @Jouk I have no idea what you’re talking about.

    You could disallow certain color combinations with some simple php, but I would recommend against it. Customization should stay in the hands of the user, even if they can’t use that power right.

    I meant if a certain hex is entered, then it won’t be allowed to be shown.
