…Microsoft ripped off Apple’s website? I was wondering the same thing today, and being bored out of my mind, I decided to put together a mockup of that in Photoshop. It took me about 2 and a half hours, but it turned out quite nice. Behold:

Microsoft Website + Apple Website

New Theme?
It seems that just about every web designer out there has released WordPress themes, so I thought it would be interesting to have a try at making one. It will most likely be a minimalistic theme, which I feel are lacking amongst all the fancy themes out there. I already have a name for it, and a pretty good idea for the design. I won’t reveal too much today, so stay tuned for a full post about the upcoming theme. And before all you cheapskates ask, yes it will be free.
Wow that’s pretty sick man! I just got photoshop+illustrator! I had been doing all my computer graphics in flash so nothing came out well but now with PS i can try my hand at some graphics!
That mockup made me laugh so hard.
I doubt Eternal actually laughed..
but it is pretty funny…not laughing funny though.
Yeah, I didn’t mean it to be “haha” funny. It’s nice that some people found it interesting/humorous. See if you can spot all the geeky in-jokes =)
I love the modifications to the theme by the way.
Crap, just noticed. It gray on the side doesn’t go all the way in this post. Not sure if it’s just me though.
Oh yeah. Sorry about that. I started modifying the theme at like 2 am last night, and I missed a few places. Fixed as of now. I’m glad you like the modifications, I felt they were needed to give the site a little more structure.
Yea sweet changes man! I dig the gray and the twitter speech bubbles!
Hey Dan, I sent you an email with a question. Please answer as soon as possible.
@Eternal: I just replied.
@Alec: Thanks for the props. It seems like everybody’s liking the changes. I tried a new approach this time around, realigning instead of redesigning. The previous layout was fine and all, but the two sidebars were too small, and they made the layout too wide.
