The New UI
The Old UI
Even though I don’t use WordPress anymore, I still recommend it to anybody interested in blogging.
WordPress 2.7
Leave a commentWordPress 2.7 has finally been released! Even though I’m not a WordPress user anymore, it’s still interesting to see what they’ve whipped up this time. I’ve installed 2.7 on another directory and will be posting a review shortly, after I get to pick around the new admin UI. From what I’ve seen so far, my initial reactions are not very positive…
RIP Pownce
Leave a commentToday I received a very saddening e-mail. It was from Pownce, which is was a really nice Twitter alternative, with a nicer UI and better uptimes. Turns out Pownce is being shut down after being bought over by SixApart (the makers of Movable Type). Pownce, you were a great friend, and will be missed.
On a brighter note, since it’s officially December, I can start decorating for Christmas. Expect some small decorations on this blog sometime this week.
‘Tis the Season
Leave a commentWell now that Thanksgiving has passed, it’s all about Christmas now. The SAT draws closer and closer, and my grades in school are mostly good. I’ve gone back to using Flash CS3 and Photoshop CS3. Flash CS4 has a few things that are quite annoying, including: forgetting my keyboard shortcuts, subpar fit & finish, and an annoying UI. The first one might be only on my system, but the other two are probably not. There are some inconsistencies in the UI, and the whole press and drag value boxes are quite annoying. You have to click on them straight, and not move the mouse in any direction, lest you alter the value. It can make accuracy a very difficult thing to achieve. However I’m still keeping Illustrator CS4, because it actually has some good new features.
I sure hope it snows for Christmas.
New Keyboard!
Leave a commentIn other news, through years and years of experience I have concluded that turkey is just a drier, tasteless version of chicken. That is all.
