I’m working on several big projects at the moment, so I might not be posting too often. On the bright side, MySpace finally switched over to divs and CSS for certain profiles. This is still an option which they call “MySpace 2.0,” and it’s still optional, because many of the MySpace custom profiles are still table-based. Although I wouldn’t mind if they got rid of the table version. Nobody would miss those horrible layouts anyway. With MySpace 2.0 I was finally able to create a layout that looks decently good. Here’s the link.

Thanksgiving has been all but forgotten in the US. It’s only the beginning of November and I see tons of ads for Christmas gifts and sales. Then there’s also the dreaded onslaught of Christmas movies.

Speaking of DZine-Studios, it won’t be around for very long. By December I’m hoping to have my new web design studio open. I won’t release the name just yet, though. Once the new site opens, dzine-studios.com will be relegated to blog duties.

Election…

So far Obama seems to be leading… I’ll update this post with the winner, even if it’s announced at like 3 am.

EDIT: Obama won the election, and will come into power January 20, 2009.

As you can see, I’m slowly making improvements to the blog design. I’ve also got some ideas, one being the Lemon and the Diamond of the week. Basically, I’d take a really bad site, and a really good site, and write about them, comparing them and pointing out what makes them so bad/good. Hopefully this idea will stimulate me to blog some more (my boring life doesn’t have nearly enough blog-worthy stuff going on).

Election Post

Having a blog, I have the obligatory pre-election post. In short, the US is screwed. Personally, I’m leaning towards Obama (plus his site is so nicely designed… and I’m a sucker for good-looking sites). This is going to be one of the closest elections ever, and hopefully it won’t be a repeat of the 2000 election. I can imagine the US would be in much better shape if Al Gore had become president. Now if McCain/Palin come into office… It’s best not to think about what’s going to happen then. And of course people have noticed that “Obama” is only one letter away from “Osama.” However, his running mate Joe Biden is a lot more experienced than Sarah Palin, which only makes Osama’s Obama’s lineup look even better. In my school, about 90+ percent of the kids are for Obama, with few for McCain. Since the election results affect everybody, it might spur more young people to vote, who statistically vote the least. I’ll probably be staying up all night tomorrow (screw school, the world rests on this election!), with frequent Twitter-based updates. No matter who wins, one good thing will come out of this election, and it’s that all those stupid Obama vs. McCain debates will end. If McCain wins, I’ll probably be wearing all black to school the next day, and possibly renewing my passport. George Washington is probably rolling in his grave right now. Only 200-something years, and we’re already collapsing…

The Misfits concert was simply awesome. The entire place was like one big moshpit when the Misfits started playing. Most of the other bands were OK (The first one was horrible, the second one being pretty good). The place they were playing at was pretty nice, too. I got home at around 2:30am; this was definitely a memorable Halloween.

The PSAT was pretty uneventful, and it only made me hate standardized testing even more.

Today is November 1. Know what that means? Election day is on Tuesday (no school, yay). This is going to be quite a pivotal election, so I’ll probably stay up all night on Election day until I know who won. If McCain/Palin wins, I might as well move to Canada or England.
